'Tattoo Nightmares': Man's Drunk Friend Gave Him A Huge Tribal Tattoo (VIDEO)

Marshall was a cautionary tale about getting tattoos while drunk. He came into the shop on "Tattoo Nightmares" with a huge tribal tat on his forearm that he'd had now for about six years. He said it was the result of a night out partying with his friend Kara.

A nearby tattoo shop was running a special. If you agree to be blindfolded, your tattoo is free. Drunk and encouraged by his friend, Marshall was on board.

"I?m sitting there blindfolded and Kara?s being real quiet, which is odd, ?cuz normally she?s a loud drunk," he said. When they pulled the blindfold off, Kara revealed that it was her who had done his tattoo. So not only did he not have a professional tattoo artist inking him, but it was someone who was very drunk.

Jasmine Rodriguez said this large black tattoo was the most difficult cover-up she'd ever done, but she managed to transform his tribal ink into an image of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Several fans online were saying they'd love to get the shop's help with their own "Tattoo Nightmares," and it looks like Spike wants to help them do just that by applying for the show and sharing their own stories. Keep watching "Tattoo Nightmares" on Tuesdays at 11 p.m. ET on Spike.

James Mangold Talks The Wolverine

A new image from The Wolverine has gone online, and it shows off Wolverine?s bone claws.? For those unfamiliar with the character (or had the good sense to avoid X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Wolverine?s claws are part of his genetic mutation, but they?re made of bone.? They were coated in indestructible adamantium (along with his entire skeleton) as part of the Weapon X program, which took place before he joined the X-Men.? While The Wolverine will reportedly have nothing to do with the plot of Origins, it will still acknowledge the X-Men trilogy, and surprisingly, won?t be a prequel to them.

Speaking to Empire, director James Mangold revealed that The Wolverine is a sequel to all of the ?X-Men movies:

?Where this film sits in the universe of the films is after them all,? reveals Mangold. ?Jean Grey is gone, most of the X-Men are disbanded or gone, so there?s a tremendous sense of isolation for him.?

It?s a surprising revelation since A) We had seen set photos that took place in a Japanese POW camp, and B) the comic the film is based on Chris Claremont and Frank Miller?s Wolverine, which takes place before the eponymous mutant joined the X-Men.? However, Mangold believes it?s important that the new movie exists beyond the current movie continuity:

?That?s something that for me was very important, that I land in a very specific place in his timeline,? says Mangold. ?I wanted to be able to tell the story without the burden of handing it off to a film that already exists and having to conform to it. The ideas of immortality reign very heavily in this story and the burden of immortality weighs heavily on Logan. For me that?s such an interesting part of Logan?s character that is nearly impossible to explore if you have a kind of league or team movie.?

I?m fascinated by what Mangold has in store for the character.? As for the bone claws, presumably this is one of the World War II scenes unless Logan is going to have his adamantium ripped out like he did in X-Men #25, and that seems unlikely.

Economist Who Advises Mitt Romney: 'Rich Are Taxed Enough'

"The rich are taxed enough," argued Columbia Business School Dean Glenn Hubbard.

The man who The New York Times called Mitt Romney's "go-to economist" and who is considered a leading candidate to be treasury secretary in a Republican administration made his case at a debate in New York.

"Raising tax rates on the rich is both counter-productive and unnecessary to fund the government we want," said Hubbard.

While steering clear of specifics, Hubbard told the audience at the Intelligence Squared Debate that "higher tax rates won't necessarily produce enhancements in revenue."

"We can and should achieve fairness and growth without taxing the rich more than they are today," he said.

Hubbard's somewhat dry tone was balanced by the passion of one of his debate opponents, former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich. Speaking against the motion "the rich are taxed enough," Reich argued called the idea "absurd."

"The rich have done extraordinarily well but the rest haven't," said Reich to audience applause. "The percentage of total U.S. income of the top 1 percent has doubled in the past 30 years. Given where we are now, we shouldn't even have this debate."

Hubbard opposed raising tax rates for the rich but added, "We need a progressive tax system."

"The wealthy should pay a disproportionate share of taxes," he said.

Hubbard and his debate team colleague, Arthur Laffer, spoke out for tax reform that would lower rates but also broaden the tax base.

"We need to think about growth and fairness. Tax rates should not rise," said Hubbard.

The United States already has one of the most progressive tax systems in the world, he argued. Comparing the U.S. economy to a tall building, Hubbard said the "lower floors are flooded" while the people in the penthouse are doing well -but "the elevator is broken."

If the tax base were broadened with lower rates and tax reform, opportunity would be expanded and "we would get more revenues" to pay for the government," he said.

Go Inspire Go...: Boy, 6 with Brain Cancer Brings Halloween to Sick ...

Eight-year-old Nico Castro from San Bruno, Calif.,
isn't letting his battle with brain cancer affect his spirit of giving this
Halloween. After his doctor gave him the green light to trick-or-treating thanks
to a break in his chemotherapy, he was jumping for jack-o'-lanterns, what a
treat! But here's where it gets tricky.

?Even though he's worse off then some of these other kids in the hospital, he's worried about them and oh they can't go trick-or-treating and oh they can't get candy,? said Nico's mother, Marlene Castro in a proud, but somber voice.

This worried little Halloween hero with a big heart asked his parents if they could buy costumes and treats for the kids in the cancer ward. "I was sad they wouldn't have candy," Nico explained. Marlene and her husband Raul Castro were moved by his thoughtfulness, however, it would be impossible to buy costumes and goodies for the more than 50 sick kids in the hospital. The family took a big financial hit after Nico's diagnosis.

Nico knows what it feels like to have to sit on the sidelines during the holidays. Last November, in stead of celebrating, he was in the hospital, too ill to take part in the festivities. He was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, cancer of the cerebellum. But during this scary time, all he could think about was if he would be healthy enough to celebrate his favorite holiday -- Halloween.

So in true superhero fashion, they took action and started a costume drive. "We were so surprised from the support outside of our community. The community really came together packages of costumes are coming from Pennsylvania, Illinois and Texas," Raul said. ?The costumes, the little trinkets that the kids in the beds are getting. Just an instant and it changes their demeanor and whole attitude about being sick.?

It's amazing to see how the community comes together when they're given a healthy dose of inspiration. After meeting Nico, I quickly realized his superhero power is inspiring people to expand their minds, be more compassionate and to open their hearts.

After an initial call with Nico's mother to set up this shoot, I couldn't help but pitch in. I made some calls to local businesses and told them about Nico's story. Sparky's Balloons in San Francisco donated the festive bouquet of balloons and a goodie bag filled with spooky toys and trinkets. My good friend Jessica Chang reached out to Daydreams and Nightmares, a local costume shop in Modesto, Calif., that donated 20 costumes. Green Apple Books in San Francisco donated a $25 gift card after hearing that Nico likes to read. Our Facebook friend, Amanda Rivas from San Jose, Calif., saw our FB shout out, donated 15 costumes and came a long to our shoot to surprise Nico. Thanks Rivas family!

Since my nonprofit Go Inspire Go brings you stories of everyday heroes, leverages social media to build community and ultimately inspire action, we had a few tricks up our sleeves -- so I reached out to super mom Amy Pankratz, founder of Wonder Capes in Sioux Falls, S.D. and BAM, she quickly crafted a custom Batman cape for Nico and two other capes for his brother, 11, and sister, 8. I told her that Nico likes Batman because the mask covers his bald head. She told me that made her sad, so she made an extra trip to the fabric store and crafted a mask too.

The donations and kind acts continue to pour in. My friends asked if we could go to the hospital on Halloween to hand out goodies to the kids on Halloween. The community has pitch in to offset some of the medical costs. More than $1,200 has trickled in.

It is hard to sit back and not take action after meeting this inspiring family who embody the real meaning of family, generosity and being present. "If you would have asked me a year ago that my son would be battling brain cancer and I would be going to the hospital daily, I would have never believed it," Marlene explained. "Ironically, every year we would give donations to St. Jude's Hospital for sick children."

It's easy to see where Nico got his kindness, compassion and giving spirit. When you hear of Nico's story, you can't help but reflect on your own life. As a kid, I thought Halloween was about ghosts, goblins, candy and costumes. But as I get older, I realize that at its core, this hallowed holiday is more about giving, not just with candy, but sharing and revering in these little moments with each other.

We grew up on welfare, so buying a cheap $5 costume was expensive to us. I have vivid memories of autumn. I can smell the morning dew on the vibrant leaves that crinkled under my little feet -- orange, yellow, brown. My brothers and I were excited for my auntie Hong to get off work and take us costume shopping at the local Thrifty's and Newberry. I remember playing with the flash lights, Halloween Pez dispensers and toys in the store isles that I would have to put back because we didn't have the money to buy them. Still, we were happy because each of us left with a costume.

I never told Auntie Hong how this little gesture and the inexpensive costumes meant the world to us. That's all we cared about. Experiences and connections and simple acts of generosity are what this holiday is truly about. Ironically, Auntie Hong passed away of breast cancer at age 47. I didn't realize it at the time, but Auntie Hong's kind seasonal act had a profound impact on how I see the world today. Her kindness was passed along for many holidays to come. My parents didn't understand or celebrate Halloween or many other holidays, so I made a concerted effort to make holidays a big deal for my younger cousins and now for my nephew and niece. It's inspired me to be kinder to others, give what I can, and to be present and live every day with the attitude of gratitude all year round. It's interesting how the little moments in life come full circle. Now that I have a voice and a platform, I'm using it to multiply the deeds of superheroes like Nico.

Nico has undergone extensive surgery to remove his brain tumor, which was about four-and-a-half inches big. Doctors were able to remove most of the tumor from his cerebellum, but couldn't take out the rest of it because it was attached to his brain stem. Meanwhile, doctors believe the prognosis is good, but worry about how the treatment will affect Nico's standard of living in the long run.

This one's for you Auntie Hong. Nico, my Halloween hero, thank you for your thoughtfulness and allowing me to say thank you to my Auntie by telling your story!

'Days Of Our Lives' Gay Characters Will And Sonny Will Have Sex

Things between gay "Days of our Lives" characters Will and Sonny are about to heat up.

Fans of the show will be thrilled to learn that the pair will finally have sex in an upcoming episode, set to air Nov. 14, according to TV Guide. "Days of our Lives" actor Freddie Smith, who plays Sonny, says the delay was intentional and that cast and crew intended to build the relationship between the two characters before the much-anticipated scene.

"It's allowed the audience to get to know our characters and to get to a place where they are really rooting for them to get together," Smith said. "This isn't a story about two gay guys. It's about two human beings who truly love each other."

Gay characters have been featured on soap operas for some time, and Smith doesn't expect much of a backlash when the scene airs. "I don't expect anyone will think the sex scene is controversial," he said. "Hopefully, we're past that."

As fans of the show can attest, complicating matters in the budding relationship between Sonny and Will is Sonny's father, Lucas -- a particularly critical plot point, actor Chandler Massey points out.

"I know a lot of dads who are like Lucas," Massey, who plays Will, notes. "They're not homophobic per se, or against gay marriage, but they're uncomfortable being in close contact with anything gay, especially when it involves their son. It's all okay in theory but they don't want to deal with the reality."

It's actually the second time Smith has played gay. Previously, he joined the cast of "90210" for a five-episode arc as Marco Salazar, another gay character.

Insisting that sexual orientation is merely "part of the character," Smith has previously said he had no fears about returning to a gay role. "Sexual orientation is such a small part of the complex person you are," he said. "We get too hung up about this in America.?
